Wilfried Zaha has told Crystal Palace he wants to leave this summer so he can join a club playing Champions League football, reports claim.
Zaha, the Ivory Coast winger, has previously spoken of his desire to win trophies – something which is unlikely while he remains at his boyhood club.
And after establishing himself as one of the most feared players outside the Premier League’s top six, Zaha is ready to test himself at the highest level.
According to the Daily Mail, Zaha told Steve Parish, the Palace chairman, earlier this week that now is the time for him to move on, hoping the club sanction his departure this summer.
While the Eagles would rue losing their key player, it is understood they would be willing to sell Zaha for around £80million.

Zaha is said to be worried such a high transfer fee will price him out of a move.
Clubs are expected to renew their interest in Zaha now he has openly admitted his desire to leave Selhurst Park this summer. Tottenham and Chelsea have both previously tried to sign the former England youth international and could return for him.

A return to Manchester United for Zaha has also been suggested, despite the Red Devils failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Zaha joined United in 2013 as Sir Alex Ferguson’s last ever signing, but he made just four appearances before returning to Palace in 2014, after a spell on loan at Cardiff.
