West Ham have made an offer to sign Gabriel Barbosa, according to reports.
Gabriel, known commonly as Gabigol, currently plays for Santos in his homeland on loan from Inter Milan.
He returned to his first club after struggling to make an impact at Inter following his 2016 transfer, with a loan spell at Benfica also going poorly.
Since heading back to Santos Gabigol has rediscovered his best form, netting 16 league goals to top the Brasileirao scoring charts, and the Estadio Urbano Caldeira club want to try and sign the 22-year-old permanently.
However, Gabigol himself has admitted he does not want to stay in his homeland, with a return to Europe preferred.

At the beginning of 2018 he will return to Inter, but it is expected the Brazil international will leave the San Siro to kick-start his career in Europe.
Earlier this month talkSPORT told you that West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace have all been keeping tabs on the forward, and now it is claimed that the Hammers have already made an offer for Gabigol.
This is according to Sport Mediaset, which says Piero Ausilio, the Inter sporting director, will have to address Gabigol’s future when the transfer window reopens in under two months.
