Hatem Ben Arfa rejected an offer to join West Ham before signing for Rennes this summer.
Ben Arfa, the attacking midfielder, was a free agent from the end of June after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.
The former France international held talks with a number of clubs as he assessed his options, before eventually joining Rennes at the start of September.
Ben Arfa penned a two-year deal with the French club but, according to Telefoot, he also had an offer on the table to return to the Premier League.
It is reported that West Ham offered the 31-year-old a move to the London Stadium, but he snubbed the proposal to remain in his homeland.
