Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to reports in Spain.
The 22-year-old is out of favour at the Bernabeu, but there has no been shortage of interest in the young starlet’s signature.
AC Milan and Arsenal have both been monitoring Ceballos, but AS claim the lure of Champions League football is believed to have been the key factor which has swayed him towards Mauricio Pochettino’s men, with Liverpool also in hot pursuit.
It is further claimed that Pochettino and Ceballos have held discussions in recent weeks, with the former underlining how big a role the Spain Under-21 international would have if he signs for Spurs.
Speaking after Spain’s recent success at the European Championship, Ceballos admitted the guarantee of regular football would play a major part in his next move.
