Tiemoue Bakayoko: AC Milan want Chelsea misfit on permanent basis following dramatic transformation

AC Milan are looking to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on a permanent basis as he continues to impress on loan in Italy.
The Frenchman, who struggled in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, has received three consecutive man-of-the-match awards in Serie A.

And Milan, who have a £31million option to buy, have been so impressed with his recent form that they are now considering making his loan move permanent, according to The Sun.
Chelsea fans react to Tiemoue Bakayoko’s remarkable turnaround
This comes after reports earlier in the season suggesting the Rossoneri were looking to cancel Bakayoko’s loan due to a string of poor performances.

However, the Frenchman has truly turned things around at the San Siro, with Italian sports website calciomercato.com describing him as a ‘sumptuous master of the midfielder’ and ‘a player rediscovered’ after the recent victory over Parma.
Milan legend Paolo Maldini told Milan TV: “Bakayoko looks reborn – we consider him a strong asset.”

Meanwhile, Rossoneri boss Gennaro Gattuso drew comparisons between Bakayoko and French icon Marcel Desailly, who starred for both Chelsea and Milan.
“At a tactical level, he’s surprising me. He strongly believed in what we showed him,” Gattuso said.

“(My assistant manager and I) said he reminds us of Desailly, even if maybe Bakayoko is even more technical.”
Bakayoko, 24, joined Chelsea on a £40million deal from Monaco in the summer of 2017 but spectacularly failed to live up to his price tag.
Upon the arrival of Maurizio Sarri, Bakayoko was quickly deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and shipped out on loan to Italy, much to the joy of some Blues fans.
