Zinedine Zidane has reportedly made Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea one of his main targets in the summer as the reappointed Real Madrid boss looks to replace Thibaut Courtois.
The 46-year-old made a clear statement to the Belgian that he was not in his plans after dropping him against Celta Vigo on Saturday – a move which delighted Chelsea fans.
Keylor Navas, who was a key figure in Zidane’s side that won three consecutive Champions League titles, was preferred between the sticks for the clash.
However, the Colombian goalkeeper also faces an uncertain future in the Spanish capital as the Mirror are reporting that De Gea is once again a prime target for Los Blancos.
De Gea almost signed for Real Madrid in 2015 but Old Trafford deal-makers failed to send the paperwork in time and the move never materialised.

However, Los Blancos chiefs have promised Zidane a massive overhaul of the current Real Madrid squad and De Gea has once again emerged at the top of the Frenchman’s wish-list.
Manchester United triggered a one-year extension on De Gea‘s contract in November to keep him with the club until 2020.
But he is yet to sign a new deal to extend the contract, with the glovesman hoping to become the club’s highest earner.
De Gea, 28, moved to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has been an outstanding success in the Premier League.
He has kept 100 clean sheets in 267 Premier League matches for the Red Devils.
