Inter Milan are going ‘all out’ to sign Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the player’s agent.
The 26-year-old, who has hailed new Inter boss Antonio Conte as the best manager in the world, has been linked with a big-money move to the San Siro.
The Serie A giants are understood to be keen to take Lukaku on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy for £60million next summer.
The Belgium international was not a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season, which has put his Old Trafford future in doubt.
Lukaku’s agent, Federico Pastorello, confirmed transfer talks have taken place with Inter chiefs.
He told Sky in Italy: “It was just a chat.
“I spoke with the director [Giuseppe Marotta] to understand the club’s intentions with the player. They will take the decisions, we can’t put a timeframe on it.
“What is clear is that if Inter want the player, they will need to get a move on.
“Inter are seriously trying to sign him, they are all out for him.
“Goals are not always there to be reached, but it’s a declared target. At the moment, it remains a complicated dream.”
Lukaku joined Manchester United in a £75million deal from Everton in 2017.
He has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for the Red Devils.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez recently claimed Lukaku needs to leave United this summer.
Martinez said: “It is clear that he has to leave Manchester United.

“It would be a good thing for both parties. It is now important that Romelu finds the right club.”
Lukaku, who has three years left on his United deal, has teased a move to Serie A in the past.
In April, he said: “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream.
“I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if at the moment I am focused on the United.”
