Manchester United transfer news: Romelu Lukaku ‘considering future’ at the club because of Jose Mourinho

Romelu Lukaku is considering his future at Manchester United after growing frustrated with manager Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

The Belgian striker becomes the latest unhappy Red Devils star, with fellow big-money signings Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez also unsettled at Old Trafford.

Lukaku has struggled for goals this season

According to The Sun, Lukaku would weigh up his future at the club if his spell out of the team continues.

The 25-year-old has dropped to the bench for several big games recently, including the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Wednesday.

The striker is no longer an automatic pick

He has started only twice since October and has just one goal in his last 14 games for the club.

The news comes after Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes issued a rare statement claiming the Portuguese boss is ‘fully committed’ to United, despite reports linking him with a return to Real Madrid.

Mendes said: “Jose is very happy at the club and the club is very happy with him.

“He has a long-term contract with United and is fully committed to the club in building a solid winning project.”

The Red Devils, without a win in their last four Premier League games, welcome strugglers Fulham to Old Trafford on Saturday.
