Manchester United transfer news: Flamengo prepared to lose Red Devils target Lucas Paqueta – reports

Flamengo are already planning for life without Manchester United target Lucas Paqueta – with no new contract talks planned.

United have emerged alongside Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain as one of the frontrunners in the race to land the midfielder.

Paqueta has caught the eye of Europe’s biggest clubs
The 21-year-old is considered one of the brightest midfield prospects in Brazilian football and a move to Europe looks likely.

And now reports in his native Brazil have suggested that Flamengo could be ready to do business although they are unlikely to accept anything less than his £40m release clause.

However, Brazilian newspaper Lance has revealed that there are no talks regarding a new contract planned so that figure is unlikely to rise.

What’s more, it has been suggested that the Brasileirao heavyweights are already working on the basis that he will be sold this summer.
