Leeds United transfer news: Barcelona player Rafa Mujica signs on three-year deal

Leeds United have signed forward Rafa Mujica from Barcelona B on a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old, who will initially link up with the club’s under-23 side, is the Whites’ fifth signing of the summer.

Leeds said in a statement on their official website: “Leeds United can confirm the arrival of Rafa Mujica, who joins the club following the expiration of his contract at FC Barcelona.

“Mujica has signed a three-year contract with the Whites, running until the summer of 2022.”

Mujica scored 33 times for Barcelona B last season.

Mujica is a highly-rated winger

On Wednesday, Leeds also completed the signing of Helder Costa on a one-year loan.

The Portuguese winger appeared 25 times for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side last term, scoring one goal as Wanderers stormed to a seventh place finish.

Whites boss Marcelo Bielsa has already added Jack Harrison from Manchester City and Ben White from Brighton to his ranks, with both also joining on loan.

While Jack Clarke, who was sold to Spurs in a £8.5m deal, has returned to the club on loan for the 2019/20 campaign.
