Celtic transfer news: Borussia Dortmund rivalling Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers for Kieran Tierney – reports

Brendan Rodgers wants a reunion with Celtic defender Kieran Tierney at Leicester City, according to reports.

However, Tierney is also wanted by Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund this summer in a £25million summer deal.

According to The Sun, Dortmund have been sending scouts to Celtic Park throughout the course of the season to monitor loan star Jeremy Toljan – but Tierney has caught the eye.

The 21-year-old will be a target for the Foxes if Ben Chilwell leaves this summer, with Manchester City keen on the England international.

Rodgers worked extensively with the Bhoys defender during his time in Scotland and is confident he can become a success in the Premier League.

However, the Northern Irishman may well face competition from Dortmund and from Arsenal – who are also looking to strengthen their defence.

Speaking at the weekend, the Hoops hero vowed to block out all talk of a potential move to the King Power.

Tierney admitted even his best friends had quizzed him on a potential Rodgers reunion.

He said: “It’s natural that he will be linked with players from his old club but it’s nothing I know of.

“I’ve been on the end of speculation for a few transfer windows so it’s nothing different for me. It doesn’t take my mind off Celtic.”
